DESCRIPTION:Leider müssen wir auch diese Veranstaltung verschieben! \nDas neue Datum werde wir alsbald bekannt geben \n  \nKISS THE SKY – Rock Funk Soul Otherness \nJean-Paul Bourelly – guitar\, vocals\, electronics (Stone Raiders\, Miles Davis) \nDaryl Taylor –  bass\, backing vocals (Archie Bell and the Drells\, Jab’o Starks & Clyde Stubblefield) \nKenny Martin – drums\, backing vocals (Defunkt\, Citizen X) \n  \nKISS THE SKY  (KTS) wurde von dem weltbekannten Gitarristen und experimentierfreudigen Blues Musiker Jean-Paul Bourelly gegründet. Der Blues\, wie wir ihn kennen\, wird mit neuen elektronischen Sounds verwoben –„Working this brave new world\, KTS creates an x-blues with an exciting unpredictable edge that cuts deep between blazing guitars\, vocal hollers and pumping polyrhythmic thrust.“ \nBourelly hat Haitianische Wurzeln und wuchs auf der South Side von Chicago auf\,  später ging er nach New York\, wo er u.a. mit Miles Davis gemeinsame Aufnahmen machte. KTS wurde in Berlin erfunden\, das Projekt steht für Ideen und Gefühle\, die das einzigartige Erlebnis in der Diaspora zu leben mit sich bringt. Bekannte Motive und Stile werden im neuen Kontext  redefiniert. \n„For us\, music is the constant discovery of transformations. (….). Music is for the people. We are artists\, we are here to serve the people of the planet and suggest something different that at the same time is connected to our history“ (JPB). \nKTS wurde auf mehreren großen Festivals präsentiert\,  u.a. auf dem  Jazzfest Bonn. Die Performance auf dem WDR Jazzfest 2019 wurde von ARTE live übertragen.
